Did you know that approximately 10% of the population is left handed? *This is a fun fact and has nothing to do with being able to learn a new skill. Learning a new skill is MUCH harder than being left handed, this is a fact!
The entire TEDxBrevard team are volunteers. This includes the Organizer.
At the young age of 57 years and having broken my LEFT arm in late March 2024, I have been in a interesting place. Learning how to be right handed, with one hand in use, while recovering from a severely broken arm and not being able to practice massage therapy, has created learning opportunities.
Here is what I know. Being right handed is odd. Having only one arm to type, text, and create a TEDxBrevard experience, is very difficult. Not being able to actually practice something you love and being of good service, is extraordinarily challenging.
Now, let's add in taking over a newly designed website and trying to not only keep up with the most basic information, like adding a photo, to creating new dynamic information in a new language of web design...that is some kind of frustrating.
But today, TODAY, on National Left Handers Day, I did it! I taught myself how to actually update and add information to enhance the website!
For all of you who have been extremely patient, extraordinarily kind and helpful, please accept my deepest apologies for the often frustrating experience of not seeing anything happen. Thank you for sticking wth me and the entire team! Now, On With The Show!
Cool MRI image of my left arm showing the magnificent topography we all possess.
Healing happens.
